Bike Racing:
I race singlespeed mountain bikes, road, and cyclocross. I started racing semi-seriously in 2005 and last year raced March to December, in 4 time zones and 2 countries. I took 2nd place in single speed category in the US National Ultraendurance Mountain Bike Series, 2nd in B category in the Mid Atlantic Cyclocross Series and 11th at Cyclocross Nationals.
In the 2007 I am hoping to focus on endurance events. Right now I’m looking at doing the Tour D’Burg, Paris-Brest-Paris, and La Ruta. Usually I figure if I say I’ll do something out loud enough, I’ll have to do it . . . hence, this blog.
Oh, yeah. I work sometimes too.

Hi Matt
I think I chatted to you outside the Bridge Inn on the friday night? I’m the builder / rider of the kiddy carrying suspension monster bike and you told me about PBP and the ride in the Giant van. Think I otherwise spent most of that night dashing about finding a home for the Italians.
Thanks for the mention in the write up – We did great on the ride-out. But the real hero of the day was my eldest boy Thomas. He had some very low gears but managed a total of 18 miles during sunday (aged 5yrs 3 months!) which left us pretty amazed.
See you sometime
